I’ll be opening my private practice soon. Here’s a glimpse of how I work.
Individual Therapy
I am currently working under the supervision of a licensed clinical social worker at a major hospital in New York City, where I provide psychotherapy and case management to adults navigating trauma, identity exploration, stigma, and chronic or complex health conditions.
I offer therapy that is grounded, relational, and affirming. I believe that healing happens when a person feels truly seen, deeply respected, and empowered to shape their own path. My approach leaves room for humor, lightness, and honest connection even while working with what feels heavy or complex.
I am bilingual in English and Spanish and have also supported clients professionally in Mandarin Chinese. I am committed to making therapy accessible, culturally responsive, and inclusive. I am not currently accepting private clients, but this will be changing soon. Thank you for your patience!
EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured, evidence-based therapy for healing from trauma and other distressing life experiences. EMDR helps the brain reprocess painful memories so they no longer feel as overwhelming or stuck in the present.
I have completed EMDR Basic Training and am actively working toward full certification. When clinically appropriate, I incorporate EMDR alongside talk therapy to help clients process and integrate difficult experiences. This approach can provide relief from symptoms related to trauma, anxiety, grief, and identity-related stress.
If you're curious about whether EMDR might be a good fit for you, I'm happy to talk more about how it works and what to expect. If you would just like to read some interesting articles online about it, take a peek here and here. Check out the Resources tab for a longer list!
Gender-Affirming and Inclusive Care
I work closely with LGBTQ+ clients, providing support that respects and affirms each person’s unique gender identity and expression. My approach centers on creating a welcoming, nonjudgmental, and non-pathologizing space where clients can feel empowered in their self-exploration.
Please Note:
To maintain ethical and effective care, I do not provide both psychotherapy and yoga instruction to the same individual. If you are working with me in yoga and are interested in therapy, I’m happy to offer guidance or referrals to support you in finding a separate therapist.
