My Approach
I offer therapy that is grounded, relational, and affirming. I believe healing happens when a person feels seen and empowered to shape their own path. My approach leaves room for humor and honest connection, even while working with something heavy or complex. We might sit with grief, anxiety, trauma, identity shifts, or burnout, but we can keep curiosity along the way.
I draw from different perspectives depending on what feels most supportive for you. This might include paying attention to the body, exploring past experiences and patterns, working with different parts of yourself, or using mindfulness to build awareness. Rather than following a strict method, I focus on staying present with what’s happening in the room.Who I Work With
I primarily support adults navigating trauma, identity exploration, chronic illness, medical systems, caregiving, and life transitions. Many of the people I work with identify as LGBTQ+, immigrants, artists, or therapists themselves.
I am bilingual in English and Spanish and have also supported clients professionally in Mandarin Chinese. I am committed to making therapy accessible, culturally responsive, and inclusive.
How I Think About Tools Like EMDR
I’m trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is one approach I sometimes use when it aligns with a client’s needs. EMDR is a structured method for processing traumatic memories and reducing distress, and it can be helpful in the right context.
That said, it’s not at the center of my work. Like any clinical method, it has strengths and limitations. For some people, EMDR can be powerful. For others, it’s not the right fit. I tend to think of it less as a miracle cure and more as one tool among many. If you're curious about whether EMDR might be a good fit for you, I'm happy to talk more about how it works and what to expect.

Gender-Affirming and Inclusive Care
My work is explicitly affirming of trans, nonbinary, and queer clients. My approach centers on creating a welcoming, nonjudgmental, and non-pathologizing space where clients can feel empowered in their self-exploration.
Looking Ahead
I am currently working under the supervision of a licensed clinical social worker at a major hospital in New York City, where I provide psychotherapy and case management to adults navigating trauma, identity exploration, stigma, and chronic or complex health conditions. My private practice will be opening soon, and I look forward to working with new clients in that space. If you'd like to stay in touch or get updates, feel free to reach out.
Please Note:
To maintain ethical and effective care, I do not provide both psychotherapy and yoga instruction to the same individual. If you are working with me in yoga and are interested in therapy, I’m happy to offer guidance or referrals to support you in finding a separate therapist.
