I am a certified yoga teacher (RYT 200) with specialized training in prenatal yoga (85-hour certification). I currently teach regularly as part of the permanent staff at VITAL climbing gym in New York City and also occasionally teach at the Prenatal Yoga Center. Drawing on my training, I design classes that are accessible, supportive, and attuned to the unique needs of each person's body, whether pregnant or otherwise.
My goal is to create a welcoming environment where students of all levels can safely and joyfully deepen their mind-body connection.
My yoga classes are intentionally queer-affirming and mindful spaces. Music and self-expression play a big role in my teaching. I love weaving music into classes to enhance connection, spark creativity, and deepen the embodied experience. I also integrate mindfulness meditation alongside physical practice to cultivate body awareness, breath connection, and presence.
In addition to working as a yoga instructor, I am grateful to serve as a co-chair for the union at VITAL West Harlem/Upper East. In this role I work as a part of Climbers United, which is connected with the labor union Workers United. As part of one of the first climbing unions in the country, I have been able to learn a lot about the process and benefits of organizing. As a yoga instructor included in that contract, I have had the unique opportunity to learn about the ways in which unionizing transforms the working world for yoga instructors.
Please Note:
To maintain ethical and effective care, I do not provide both psychotherapy and yoga instruction to the same individual. If you are working with me in therapy and are interested in yoga, I’m happy to offer guidance or referrals to support you in finding separate yoga classes.
